I am glued to my screen...

Edinburgh just experienced a major heat wave that lasted maybe 4 days. Now that's over, temperatures are back to normal (a summery 12 degrees) and everyone is back inside.

The good ol' internet is my best friend again. Here is what got me glued to my screen this week.

I am sure every already knows Emma and Elsie from A Beautiful Mess, and are probably the most successful bloggers around. One of them is moving to Nashville and recently bought a house there and this video shows Elsie giving a tour of it. Maybe it's because I am currently putting my life in boxes and getting rid of all the pretty things in the flat, but I just got so excited for a new flat/house (and also to see what Elsie is gonna do with that space)!

This just came to Netflix. I am not as excited as I was last year about season 2, but still- a really good show.

Aaaah Netflix again. Sense8 is created by the Matrix-brothers and even though I am not necessarily a massive fan of their work, so far I think this show is just incredible. It took me a few episodes to really get into it and Max Riemelt's presence definitely helped with that (even though I still dislike the way they deal with other languages and just pretend everyone in the world magically speaks English). I really like most of the characters and some parts of the dialogue are so smart that I have to stop the show and just process what they just said. Summer is always a bit of a slump in terms of shows so I am happy I have a lot more hours of this show ahead of me.

YouTube catch up

In these past weeks, I have watched all five seasons of Pretty Little Liars. Now I have to wait 9 days for the next season to start and I am not looking forward to waiting a whole week for the next episode. Urgh. In the meanwhile, I am exploring all the fun things that YouTube has to offer and that I have missed during my PLL binge watching (cause I seriously did nothing else).

Here are my favorites:

Everyone has probably already seen this, but I just can't get over how funny the editing is. I love it.

I mean really anything out of this series (guys acting like...) is hilarious and so awkward cause its true. There, I said it.

I know this film came out ages ago, but it really was bad (sorry Channing) and these honest trailers just nail it. Also I finally understand the plot, thanks to this video.

Aaaah I love the original and this cover is amazing too.

Have you seen...?

'Have you seen' is probably the most asked question in our flat.Have you seen that cat with tights video, have you seen that new Jimmy Kimmel video, have you seen that new trailer- we are embarrassingly in synch in terms of the YouTube videos we watch on a daily basis. Yes, I said it.
It is really hard for people to come over and take part in our weird conversations and inside jokes, believe me. We are a big bunch of weirdos.
So anyways-
a couple of 'have you seen' for you guys!

I am slightly embarrassed to admit that Mona and I re-enacted this on our way home tonight.

3 more TV shows- check.

Now I've got quite a lot of time on my hands, I watch even more Tv shows than during term time. Which is bad. I end up sitting on my bed for hours watching this show that I only started watching because I wanted 20 minutes of entertainment while I am eating or cooking.

So here are the three recent shows I watched-

This show is great for just simple entertaining and I used to watch Dawson's Creek when I was younger, so I even appreciate all the refernces to it.

I really like the dialogue in this one, which seems weird. And I like the characters, sort of.

Now this one I am proper obsessed with right now. I even randomly start to (trying and failing) sign while I talk. I just can't help it, I watch this show for pretty much 5 hours every day and somehow my brain thinks I need to sign, too. So I might take a sign language course, to actually do it right.

Robbie Williams Concert {Take the Crown Tour 2013, Glasgow}

Phueew, I have anticipated this concert for soooo long and all of the sudden it was happening. It was a bit of a shame that I was going by myself, but oh well. The crowd was a bit strange to be honest, mostly middle aged women with pink glittery hats. Not sure who else I excpected though.

Now because he is still touring and I don't want to "ruin" the show for anyone, I will just put the rest of the post behind the cut. Don't read it when you are still going to see the show, I think it would just spoil a lot of the fun.

Our documentary {The Lost Garden}

This is our last project of the semester, a short documentary.
I am so proud of us, I really like the way it turned out. And these people in the video are the sweetest, they were so welcoming and so helpful. If you should ever go to Penicuik, go and help them out!

3 things on my mind

Mona and I bought tickets to seee them in Glasgow in April. I am so excited, have not found a band I liked so much in a long time. And they are not super famous yet, so the concert hopefully will be a bit more intimate- and amazing!

part of my january film diary
I love letterboxd. You can keep track of movies you have watched, create lists, write reviews etc. I tried finding similar sites in the past but I never stayed with one because they were all missing something. So far I love it, especially the diary. Trying to keep track of all movies I watched and want to watch is something I really want to stick to in 2013 and it has been really fun so far. The website is still in their beta phase and you need an invitation to join. I have 3 invitations to give away, so just let me know if you want one.

She makes me wanna be a ginger!

(and yes, I changed the header. Don't know if I really like it, we will see)

fun times ahead

THIS IS SO CUTE
Totally gonna learn that (you all have to watch Pitch Perfect, it is so good!)

My exam is written and now I have one week of blissful nothing ahead of me- well, except for a bit of working. Life is good and I am excited for the next semester.
